About this work
Handkerchief of natural-colored linen with openwork borders lace embroidery: cutwork or reticella between two narrow bands of drawn thread work. Around the handkerchief is finished with natural-colored bobbin lace. The cutwork has a repeating and symmetrical pattern of a small rectangle with an open hexagon with wheel inside. The successive rectangles are alternated by two small openwork squares placed on top of each other, with a wheel in each. The bobbin lace has a repeating pattern of pointed shells with a star in each shell and above that a border with small and larger holes.
