About this work
Neck and nose handkerchief or handkerchief finished all around with a strip of bobbin lace: Dutch lace. The repeating and symmetrical lace pattern consists of a hanging flower on a straight stem with two side branches with curling leaves and some smaller flowers on either side. The shallow scallop edge is finished with picots. In the corners a seam can be seen on the front (45 degrees relative to the direction of the strip), on the back the strip has one pleat in each corner.
