About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Repetitive motif with a split scroll. The scroll originates from the lower edge and splits to the right with a winding series of linked flower branches and to the left with a shorter flower branch. The upper side is edged with a bobbin lace border. The scalloped lower edge is partly formed by the split scroll.
