About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Lille lace. Under a scattered pattern of inverted V-shaped twigs runs along the underside a border with an oval at regular intervals from which a twig springs. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are surrounded by thicker and shiny contour threads, very sparing filling in linen stitch. In the ovals along the lower edge a decorative ground is applied. The top and bottom edges are finished straight, the underside provided with picots.
