Strip of appliqué lace with a scattered pattern and rosettes in ovals along the lower edge

Strip of natural-colored Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on net ground. The repeating pattern consists of a scattered pattern of twigs and various rosette flowers with or without stems, and along the underside of the strip, ovals formed by a strongly curling twig with a rosette at the end. The motifs are mainly made of widely festooned thread bundles. A coarser hexagonal mesh ground is applied as a decorative ground in the ovals. The upper side is finished with a separate bobbin lace band. The very faintly scalloped underside is finished with very fine picots.
