About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Lille lace. Below the center line, the repeating pattern consists of a one-sided branch sprouting from the underside of the strip. Each branch has one flower with an openwork circular center and a jagged edge. The motifs are connected by a fine net ground, a tulle ground. The sparse solid work is made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. One type of decorative ground is applied under the curved flower stem. The top and bottom edges are finished straight, with the underside provided with picots.
