Strip of appliqué lace with a scattered pattern and rosettes in ovals along the lower edge

Strip of natural-coloured Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on drochel ground. The repeating pattern consists of a scatter pattern of branches and various rosette flowers with or without stem and along the lower side of the strip from ovals formed by a strongly curling branch with a rosette at the end. The motifs are mainly made of widely festooned thread bundles. As a decorative ground a coarser hexagonal mesh ground has been applied in the ovals. The upper side is finished with a separately bobbin-edged band. The very shallow scalloped lower side is finished with very fine picots.
