About this work
Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Repetitive motif of branches and scattered flowers on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. Oval and round leaves hang from the twisting branches, which originate from ovals along the lower edge. These ovals are filled with various decorative grounds. Centrally in the strip, between the longer branches, an oval is formed by a cluster of six simple flowers, without leaves. Scalloped lower edge.
