Strip of needle lace with rows of buttonholes and a flower branch with three flowers

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace: Alençon lace. Pattern with seven rows of rosettes on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. At the bottom a repeating motif of a lying flower branch with three flowers. One rosette-shaped flower is directed upwards, a plume-shaped and a fan-shaped flower are directed downwards. The flowers are filled with various ornamental grounds. The underside is finished with a picotted shell border originating from the two downward-directed flowers. The upper side is edged with a bobbin lace border.
