Cuff of needle lace with hanging flowers and intertwining stems

Cuff of natural-colored needle lace: Brussels mesh lace. The symmetrical pattern consists along the bottom edge of hanging flowers with five petals and a drop-shaped flower heart formed by a loop. Between the successive flowers hangs a smaller cup-shaped flower at the ends of the loops with which the flower hearts on both sides are formed. On the short sides, the pattern runs diagonally. Each drop-shaped flower heart is crowned by a rosette flower and one or two (at the middle) circles. Above each cup-shaped flower stands an openwork arch crowned by a circle. The motifs are made with festoon stitches and are accentuated by relief contours. The motifs are connected to each other by a mesh lace ground with picots. The scalloped edge is formed by the hanging flowers. The top side is finished straight with two threads with a railroad pattern.
