About this work

Linen batist fichu, triangular, scalloped all around and decorated with tambour work and a filler of fils tirés. Model: triangular, worked on the bias. Decoration: at the point a symmetrical ornament composed of flowers with tamboured leaves and a center of buttonhole stitch, below a border with tamboured scallops filled with buttonhole stitch, under which a border of fils tirés and above the hem a tamboured garland. The scalloped edge is festooned. The rest of the cloth features a straw motif of buttonhole stitch.
