Collar of natural-colored Brussels appliqué lace: bobbin lace applied to machine-made tulle. Model: strip formed into a half circle. The pattern consists of radially placed flower stems, with below each stem an elongated flower with an oval flower heart. The shell border is formed by these flowers and the stemless rosette flowers placed between them. In the field above the rosette flowers stand, between some mosses, symmetrically placed C-volutes, a sprig with three berries and above that a rosette flower with four petals. The motifs are bobbin-laced in linen stitch and provided with shiny contour threads. In the flower hearts of the flowers forming the shell border some decorative stitches of needle lace are applied.
