Collar of machine-made lace with four inverted flowerpots with fan flower

Collar of natural-coloured machine lace: etching lace, imitation of needle lace. The wide collar forms almost two-thirds of a circle. Symmetrical pattern with four inverted flower pots with therein a large fan-shaped flower on two leaves. Between the successive flower pots a pattern of curling vines is placed, which along the outer edge end with a row of in total six oval flowers. The vines are connected to each other by a picoted bar ground. On the inside of the collar the motifs are connected to each other by a finer mesh ground, with thereon a scatter pattern of rosette flowers. In the flower pots an ornamental ground is applied with a scale-like structure. The contours of the flower pots have a railway track pattern. All motifs are provided with contour threads. The largest flowers are provided with relief contours in the flower hearts.
