Collar of machine-made lace with nine circular flowers between ten roses in inverted drops

Collar of machine lace: etching lace, imitation of needle lace. The wide collar with nine shells forms two-thirds of a circle. Along a narrow strip on the inside of the circle lie ten drops - the first and the last halved - which with their pointed ends point radially outwards. Between the points stand nine circular flowers, to which three leaves hang between four C-scrolls. These flowers with their appendages form the large shell border. The contours of the drops are made of linked thick beads. The contours of the large circular flower hearts are made of six, overlapping thick cords, which appear festooned. Also the remaining contours around the motifs appear festooned. The motifs are connected to each other by bars, provided with picots or wheel picots. Various ornamental grounds are applied in the motifs.
