About this work

Collar of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Maltese lace. Round, lying collar of bobbin lace, scalloped in seven points. The pattern has a Maltese cross in all points. A closed inter-circle of C-scrolls and palmettes, separates an inner arch with radiating leaves from an outer border with large marguerites and rosette flowers. The motifs are bobbin-worked in linen stitch and the many leaves in and around the motifs and along the edges are made in buttonhole stitch.
