About this work

The back and the seat cushion, which slopes upward, are upholstered in green woolen tapestry with yellow-brown and purple leaf motifs. The front legs, placed diagonally, are faintly S-shaped; the straight rear legs continue into the back posts, ending in a volute. The seat rails are profiled at the top, and below the rails are wavy corner pieces. The upper rail of the back shows carved leaf motifs; the lower rail is arched. See: BK-1970-93-A, B, D, E.
