About this work
Cap of natural-colored applied needle lace: needle lace applied on a drochel ground. The cap has a smooth forehead band that seamlessly transitions into the crown at the sides. The crown is generously gathered from above. At the neck there is a slit for a white silk ribbon. Pointed at the chin. The front band is held in fine pleats by a fine and a thicker gold braid wrapped with light blue silk (pleated front band with gold braid). The cap has a black silk lining. The model is a Steenwijker style.
