About this work

Table of coromandel wood and leather. The rectangular loose top has scalloped sides and is inlaid with a black leather panel with a dark red bordered center field, surrounded by stylized leaf volutes. The legs step back in a straight flat staircase and rest on a volute-shaped bobbin. Slightly above the halfway point is a square frame with scalloped sides and decorated with a brown leather field with an eight-pointed star, filled with leaf motifs. Two sliding leaves.
