Piece of batiste with embroidery lines and the initials I.Z.R and five insertions of bobbin lace with two stylised mirrored flowers between vertical lines and ovals

Panel of six strips of fine linen batiste with five inserts of natural-colored Dutch bobbin lace. The panel is rectangular. The lace pattern consists of vertical straight lines, between which stand two stylized flowers mirrored over the length axis. On the center line the flowers are flanked left and right by a horizontal pointed oval, which always intersects the vertical line. The solid work in linen stitch with cutouts is held together by short braids. On four of the batiste strips, embroidery lines are drawn in pencil for embroidering nineteenth-century stylized leaf and flower motifs and two pointed oval cartouches. To the left and right of one of the cartouches, above the flowers, the years 1880 and 1950 are written. On one strip the embroidery is finished; on the strip above it, one flower has been started, crowned with the embroidered year 1880. The other flowers and cartouches have not been started.
