About this work
Oriental carpet, medallion carpet. In the central field, on a wine-red ground, stand two and a half hexagons. In each an octagon with a carnation. On the field, lilies and rosettes. Double border. The widest is ochre with tulips on vines. Knot: Ghiordes knot.
