About this work
Floral carpet. Central field: on a small dark red field, star-flowers stand in a double row. Each star-flower is surrounded by an octagon in white, red, light green, and blue. Borders: broad and triple. The main border is orange with such star-flowers in octagons. The inner and outer selvages are identical, with a brown-black ground featuring diagonally stretched diamonds in blue, red, and green, interrupted by diagonal rows of white blocks. Fringe: both at the top and bottom runs a broad fringe of 8 and 7 cm respectively, in blue with some red stripes.
