About this work
Carpet, Karabagh or Shirwan. Central field: dark blue ground with three connected hexagons and half-rhombuses on the sides. The hexagons are red, light green and red, each with a quartered hexagon in soft yellow, red and dark blue. Border: twofold. The widest is white with octagonal hook motifs in the mentioned colors. The inner hem is red with rosettes.
