About this work

Parasol with cover of dark blue cotton printed with red and natural half-moons, within which small flowers, woven with branches. The parasol is unlined. The stick is of lacquered bamboo, the handle is of wood, with a relief-carved rose, within a carved cartouche with fine dots. The hook has the shape of a question mark, with a single leaf form in relief. At the top a long knob of lacquered bamboo with a metal point. Metal ribs. On one of the ribs a silver-coloured button.
