About this work

Baptismal gown of tulle and batiste; Carrickmacross. Technique: application of batiste mounted in tambour work. Model: square with fairly flat scalloped edge. Pattern: center, corner and border pattern. Center: looped and tied twigs, to which a rose, bellflowers and deeply cut varied leaves belong. The corners are related to the center. Borders: from the corners to the center a winding stem with similar, but smaller flowers and leaves.
