About this work

Handkerchief of natural-colored batiste with embroidery - white work - and finished around with a border of bobbin lace: Valenciennes lace. Square model. Along the edges of the handkerchief, an embroidered vine winds around a narrow straight line. In the corners, the straight line is interrupted by a diagonally placed volute with a flower branch. The lace strip has a pattern that consists of linked narrow lines along the edge at the underside and above that the lace consists of a square Valenciennes ground. The handkerchief is stored with another handkerchief in a sachet.
