Batiste handkerchief with plumetis embroidery and a Valenciennes lace border

Handkerchief of natural-colored batiste with embroidery - whitework - with a border of bobbin lace: Valenciennes lace. Square model with rounded corners. The embroidery is located along the edges and consists of bouquets with ivy leaves and forget-me-nots. The twelve bouquets are placed at equal distances from each other and connected by a decorative band of rosette flowers and dots between two dotted lines. The edge of the batiste is finished with small regular shells, with in each shell a rosette flower. The strip of lace is gathered onto the batiste. It has a scalloped edge with connected festooned arches. In each shell stands the same, slightly diagonally placed leaf. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and cutouts. They are connected by a square Valenciennes ground. The scalloped edge is finished with picots.
