About this work

Handkerchief of batiste with embroidery - white work - along the edges with flower and leaf scrolls. The handkerchief is finished with a strip of bobbin lace: Lille lace. The repeating pattern consists along the underside (outer side) of the strip of a lying s-volute crowned by whimsically shaped leaves.
