Handkerchief of batiste with embroidery of mimosa and a strip of needle lace with straw flowers

Handkerchief of natural-colored batiste with embroidery in the four corners and finished around with a border of needle lace: Alençon lace. The embroidery is equal in the four corners. The pattern consists of two obliquely placed and openwork arches, which are crossed by mimosa branches. The arches form a boundary of the other motifs in the corners. These motifs are a fantasy flower, surrounded by fine spiral vines with buds, leaves and small flowers. A fine flower garland with forget-me-nots along the edges of the handkerchief from the pattern in one corner to the pattern in the next corner. The strip of needle lace has a pattern with one row of straw flowers and a fine scalloped border with arches that are finished with picots. The motifs are made with buttonhole stitches and provided with relief contours.
