Handkerchief of batiste with a bouquet in embroidered scrolled corners and a border of machine lace

Handkerchief of natural-colored linen with embroidery - whitework with plumetis - and finished around with a border of machine-made lace: machine-made Valenciennes lace. Square model with rounded corners where the strip of lace is gathered and attached. The embroidery is located in the corners and is equal in each corner. It consists along the border of five lying c-volutes, connected to each other by palmettes. In the c-volute in the corner stands a small rosette flower with above it a large bouquet. The bouquet is symmetrical and has grapevine leaves, forget-me-nots, trembling grass and in the top three cone-shaped flowers with high radiating stamens. The pattern of the lace consists along the underside of a continuous arch border that forms a scalloped border. In each shell hangs an oval flower between two oval leaves. The scalloped border is finished with picots.
