About this work

Carriage jacket of white twill cotton with insertions of machine-made lace. Fabric: with vertical ribs. Model: turned. Square sailor collar. Long, slightly puffed sleeves with triangular turn-back at the wrist. Fastening originally by means of two rows of mother-of-pearl buttons. One row of buttons is missing. The edges of the front panels are lined with a wide facing of linen. Decoration: machine-made lace as insertions and point strips along the collar and the turn-backs.
