About this work

Evening bag, consisting of a pouch decorated with white beads and multicolored silk in a rose motif on the handle and chain of copper-colored metal. The coin purse has a rectangular narrow handle with relief leaves. The bag is horseshoe-shaped. The design consists of a two-sided pattern with a rose tuft embroidered in colored silk petit-point, around which the white beads are embroidered concentrically; their loops eventually form circles. On the front, a large tuft of a pink rose, a tea rose, with buds around and leaves and a couple of violets. On the back, a miniature tuft of a red and an orange rose. On the round seam stands a slender wavy branch with leaves in gold thread. Lining of light beige moiré silk, with a sewn-in pocket with double mirror on one side without border.
