About this work

Fichu of natural-colored batiste with bobbin lace: Mechelen lace. Square model worn folded as a triangle. Finished with rolled hems and on two sides with lace that is slightly gathered at the point (`the tip'). Lace pattern: a wavy openwork vine with simple flowers and leaves moves in a repeating rhythm along the length of the strip. Zaan region costume.
