About this work

Fichu of natural-colored batiste with bobbin lace: Flemish lace or Binche lace. Square model worn folded as a triangle. Finished with rolled hems and on two sides with lace that is slightly gathered at the point (`the tip'). The repeating lace pattern consists of mirrored lying flower branches, between which along the top and bottom strip lies a triangular motif. Zaan region costume.
