About this work
Handkerchief of batiste with embroidery including plumetis and shadow work and along the sides lace embroidery: work with drawn threads. Square model. The embroidery has a pattern that consists of an elegant line play of wavy and curling sparse vines with many curling side branches. Growing on the vines are large exotic flowers with whimsical carnation-like petals and per flower always a very protruding horn-shaped style. The sparsely embroidered leaves on the vines are small in relation to the flowers. The work with drawn threads has a pattern with different lines and on the corners a pattern with small diamonds in a square grid.
