About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: old Flemish lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of elongated triangular shells under a fan-shaped motif formed by six openwork standing ovals between seven 'legs'. Above this fan-shaped motif, seven lying ovals are cut out between small pieces of densely woven latticework. The top edge of the strip is finished straight. The shell edge is finished with picots.
