Collar of Needle Lace with Bows and Rosette Flowers

Collar of natural-coloured needle lace, point de gaze de Bruxelles. Pattern with rosette flowers and arches on a fine ground with single twisted meshes, scattered with some mesh holes. The pattern follows the shape of the collar and bends with the ends. Along the inner edge a running vine with small rosette flowers and leaves. Along the outer edge always one hanging leaf from a series of arches, halfway the pattern. Between the hanging leaves always one loose rosette flower. The shells along the outer edge and ends are formed by these hanging leaves and rosette flowers. The inner edge is edged with a scalloped band.
