About this work

Collar of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Cluny lace. Lying round model with a narrow middle and long points at the ends. The collar is not symmetrical because one of the points makes a kink outwards and the other point does not. The pattern has a double zigzag line with ovals at the knots, through which length and cross lines. The motifs are bobbin-worked in linen stitch with decorations in buttonhole stitch. The motifs are connected by a plaited ground. Scalloped edge with flat uniform shells with back and forth loops.
