About this work

Insert of natural-colored bobbin lace. The pattern consists of a regularly wavy narrow middle line with a loose oval under each wave crest and in each wave valley. The motifs are connected by mesh ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. Top and bottom of the strip are straight finished, the underside originally provided with picots, but these are no longer visible due to the frayed edges. The insert is from or intended for bed linen.
