Strip of bobbin lace with tree between zigzag line

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace. The repeating pattern consists of a zigzag line, forming trapezoidal fields. The fields fill the entire width of the strip and in each field stands or hangs one tree, with a thin trunk and a more or less oval crown. Along the lower side of the strip runs a series of four-leaf clovers and diamonds. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a buttonhole stitch lattice ground. The sparse and openwork full work is made in linen stitch and net stitch with large openings in particular in the tree and with thicker contour threads. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, with the lower side provided with picots.
