Strip of bobbin lace with V-shaped motifs above pointed ovals

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace. The repeating and partly continuous pattern consists of two wavy lines, which cross each other and form pointed ovals along the lower half of the strip. Every second wave peak is crowned by a V-shaped motif, reaching to the top edge of the strip. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a buttonhole stitch lattice ground. The motifs are worked in net stitch, with thicker contour threads. The top edge of the strip is finished straight. The shallow scalloped edge along the underside derives from the wavy lines and is finished with picots.
