About this work

Lying collar of batiste, tapering to a point at the front. The collar is edged with a gathered strip with scalloped festooned edge. Both this edge and the collar are decorated with English embroidery. The collar has a standing band that closes at the back with a snap fastener. The collar itself also closes at the back with three fabric buttons in a row.
