About this work

Children's sun hat of starched batiste with a wide sun brim with English embroidery and decorated with bows of batiste. Round crown with a straight band of batiste with one ruffle. Below the ruffle, a border of gathered batiste is attached. Two chin straps of bias-cut batiste. English embroidery with a scalloped edge, above which a wide border of open mullet stitches with star stitches, between which two rows of daisies are cut out.
