About this work

Cuff of natural-colored machine-made lace: machine embroidery on machine-made tulle. Butterfly-shaped model, with in the center braids and bows of light orange-colored silk ribbon. The lace pattern consists of a ground pattern of rosettes and two rows of embroidered bows, the bows in the upper row being larger. These bows hang from the scallop edge between two embroidered ribbons downwards, under a rosette flower, and in the row below are smaller bows embroidered, connected to an elongated flower branch.
