About this work

Doily of shiny natural-colored bobbin lace: Maltese lace. In the center stands a Maltese cross, made in linen stitch in combination with a buttonhole stitch. Around the cross runs a border consisting of a series of six-petal flowers, made in shaped stitch. Around this runs a border made with buttonhole lattice stitch and then again a border with six-petal flowers. The scallop border along the outside of the doily consists of arches, which originate from a lattice stitch.
