Strip of bobbin lace with three rosette flowers and a three-lobed leaf as a shell border

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: fine Bruges flowerwork. The repeating pattern along the lower edge consists of three obliquely placed oval rosette flowers and a large trilobed leaf. Above each three rosette flowers lies a curved stem with on one side two rosette hips and on the other side a kink in the stem and at the end a rosette flower directed towards the rose hips. From this rosette flower several leaves and smaller rosette flowers emerge. Above each shell formed by the trilobed leaf, a rosette flower hangs on a curved stem downwards. The motifs are connected by a picoted plaited ground. The motifs are made in net stitch and linen stitch, with openwork edges and cutouts. The motifs are provided with thin to very thick contour threads and buttonhole relief contours. In part of the openwork flower petals or flower hearts blocks are made in block stitch or linen stitch. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shell edge is finished with picots.
