About this work
Strip of natural-coloured mixed lace: Brussels bobbin lace combined with a needlepoint ground, a fine net lace ground. This type of lace is also known under the name: point d'Angleterre. The running pattern consists of large s-scrolls, decorated with a godron border and crossed by a large hanging rose branch, which originates at the right point of the s-scrolls. On an upright side branch grow a carnation, a cluster flower and fine, incised leaves.
