About this work

Candle arm belonging to a two-tier brass candelabrum. The S-shaped arm has a curl at the base, a dolphin's head halfway along, and widens outward into a flat thickening with a screw hole. The candle holder with drip pan is secured therein. The drip pan is ribbed and profiled around the opening on the underside and has a downward and slightly projecting rim. The cylindrical candle holder has a profiled and projecting rim, two grooved rings, a rib, and a profiled narrower lower part that transitions into a projection with a threaded screw and a central hole. The pin for attaching the arm is conical with a round knob on top. The drip pan has a sealed round hole, indicating that the candelabrum was once electrified. This is the first arm of the upper tier ring, numbered with the digit 5.
