About this work

Band of silk damask with a pattern of blocks intersected by narrow and wider stripes, featuring alternating blocks of seven-fingered leaf on three linked hexagons, four semi-abstract ornaments in a block, two bamboo(?) sprouts, seven-fingered leaf (inverted), and a block divided into two triangles containing vegetative and geometric abstract ornaments, finally a band of blocks filled by undulating wave and bamboo(?) sprouts. All in purple, pink, green, orange, white and silver-grey. Oriental textile.
