About this work

English horn (or alto oboe) made of dark-stained palmwood, consisting of 4 parts and with thirteen silver keys. Marked on the upper, middle, and lower sections: G. HANKEN /& ZOON / ROTTERDAM. The oboe is in a wooden box lined with leather and with velvet on the inside. Inside the box is a small box intended for 3 reeds, containing 1 reed. Also included is a mouthpiece for the reed.
