About this work

English horn (or althobo) made of rosewood with sixteen silver keys, three open rings, a silver thumb rest, and a ring for a cord. Marked on the upper and middle sections: PLIVERICS M. / BUDAPEST. Marked on the back of all three parts: D. V. Z. (in an oval) / 24. In a wooden case lined with leather on the outside and green velvet on the inside. Marked on the velvet of the lid: Pliverics Miksa / [lyre in a laurel wreath] / BUDAPEST. The case contains a mouthpiece and a box for reeds, containing one reed, lined with leather and textile. Marked: PLIVERICS M. / BUDAPEST.
